This lovely original watercolor painting was done by California artist Robin Wethe Altman. It shows a poinsettia in a terracotta pot with soft pinks, rose and terracotta. The painting is signed by Robin in the lower right. It is also dated 1982, so this is one of Robin's earlier paintings. It measures 10 1/2" by 13 3/4" inside mat and 16 7/8" by 19 3/8" with frame. This painting has been beautifully matted, framed and covered with glass. It is in excellent condition.

Robin Wethe Altman studied art at Principia College with the help of an art scholarship from the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts. She graduated in 1976 with a BA in Fine Art. One of her professors was James Green a noted California Regionalist and watercolorist. Robin's work has been shown in many of the galleries of Laguna Beach as well as all three of the Laguna art festivals. She currently shows her work at the Watercolor Gallery in Laguna Beach. She has been commissioned by IBM, the Irvine Company and her work has been displayed at the State Capitol.
