Antique Arts & Crafts Art Deco Quartersawn Oak Box Cigarettes Playing Cards
A lovely antique original Arts & Crafts / Art Deco quartersawn oak box with lovely flake grain. Slim and stylish, I think it was made as a cigarettes box, but it would be great for playing cards or trinkets.
The two parts of the hinged lid sit beautifully together. The mellow low sheen original finish is of a lovely honey light-medium oak shade.
The box measures 10 inches x 4 1/4 inches and stands 1 5/8ths inches tall. It weighs 400g.
CONDITION:
Wonderful original antique condition with original finish. No splits. Two tiny little chips in the top surface along with to small dark blobs of what looks like shellac. Steel hinges and their tiny screws are intact as are the fixing pins on the bottom of the box. Please see the images.

1st Class (1-3 days) & 2nd Class (3-5 days) has insurance to £20 only. The Signed For versions of these services increase insurance to £50 per parcel, add tracking and a signature on delivery.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2-3 days) and 24 (1-2 days) are insured to £100, have tracking and a signature on delivery.
Insurance is for loss only (not damage) on antiques, but I pack so well that I have never had any outgoing damage.
