Here is a lovely victorian quality engraved solid silver book collar locket . The locket measures one & quarter inches by one & threequarter inches excluding the bail with a depth of a quarter of an inch & all made of solid silver, although not marked where i can see, tested & guarranteed as such. This locket is a lovely quality book collar locket with a oval shape with exquisite early quality chasings in lovely detail & there is light initials on the plain part, but these could be polished out if necessary by any jeweller. The locket opens to put photos in either side & doesnt have innards, but pics will stay in quite easily & there is a pic inside of a child & nicely clicks shut tightly. The locket comes complete with its early large silver bail & dates to the victorian era &as with age has a couple of small dent marks to the back but certainly nothing that detracts in any way, but just mentioned for total accuracy see pics Please note i havent polished it . This really is a fabulous antique book collar locket in very good origional complete condition as stated that looks so lovely worn & most certainly will not disapoint & a nice quality example of these. Please note i havent polished it before taking pics, so will be much nicer after.
