Marchetti was a WWII "Battle of the Bulge"
Veteran who came home, went to college at the University of San Francisco, was drafted by the Dallas Texans in 1952, (who became the Baltimore Colts in 1953) and went on to have an incredible career being named First Team All-Pro for 9 straight years.  He was inducted into the Canton Football Hall of Fame in 1972.  He is also a member of the NFL's 100th Anniversary ALL-TIME TEAM. 

In 1959, Marchetti and teammate Alan Ameche opened a fast food restaurant they named "GINO's" that had incredible success before ultimately becoming a famous "chain" that featured COLONAL SANDERS KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken.
