1971 1p New Penny Coin  RARE Original old coin.Original circulated old “New penny” 1p coin from 1971 which were the first new penny 1p coins stamped new penny which came into circulation from 1971 to 1981. All 1p coins dated between 1971 and 1981 bear the inscription NEW PENNY. From 1982 onwards the inscription was changed to ONE PENNY.
