Cabinet photograph that shows ten girls who wear white dresses with applied stars, star headdresses, and paper wings. One of them might be a boy rather than a girl. Five of them are much younger than the other five. Some hold sprigs of something. The center girl in the front holds a long white pole. The cabinet measures 5 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches. In ink on the bottom of the back is written, "Nov. 19, 1896." Above that, the following names are written in pencil: "Ini Franklin, Nellie McCarthy, Annie McCarthy, Annie Conlin, Ruby Franklin, Ruth Buchannan, Gurtrude McCarthy, Hannah Franklin, Lizzie McCarthy, Mary Peters." I have typed them as they are spelled.
The contrast is a bit soft so some detail in the white areas is lost. I would have thought that this photo was somewhat later than 1896 but the date on the back looks to have been written in period.
