Using the Psychography Planchette.

Insert the metal pen though the top hole, pushing it through far enough so that the front of the planchette is supported by the pen tip rather than the front roller ball. This will give the best pressure for smooth movement of the pen to paper. The front roller ball will prevent you pushing down too hard should your session get overly energetic.  The planchette now loaded with pen should be placed on a large piece of paper and with gentle pressure you're ready to start your session. You can work alone or have several people touching the planchette while you work. Traditionally a medium would go into a state of trance and begin moving the planchette without looking at the paper. How you choose to work is entirely your choice. Usually questions would be asked of the spirit, who in turn would communicate through the planchette movement, revealing mystical pictures or words in the scribbles from the other side. To use the planchette with a regular Ouija or spirit board simply remove the pen and use on any flat surface.

History of the magic message planchette.

Planchettes became very popular with the Spiritualists movements in mid 1800s across Europe and quickly gained popularity to became the must have parlour activity as far as America and beyond.

The logical explanation of whats going on with planchette & Ouija boards

The original instructions for the Ouija Board (fortune telling game) were that two people had to balance the board on their knees while sitting face to face on chairs, they then had to balance unsupported hands in the planchette/pointer. This creates a physical micro movement muscle chain reaction that almost always resulted in the movement of the pointer due to this balancing act. Just think of the way someone balancing on a circus ball it is an involuntary reaction to stay upright, this works on a smaller more subtle way. We still do however believe that because the Ouija Board is based on the involuntary subconscious movements we make, that the mind may be open to external manipulation from forces, so further experimentation and investigation may well be worth exploring, especially combined with mediumship skills. It comes under the same category as glass divination and table tipping, as well as being good old-fashioned spooky board game fun. Bottom line is if it scares you don't do it, but when did that advice ever work.
