Gorgeous Portieux "Chimeres" milk glass compote. Made in France between 1900-1930's, this wonderful compote sports ornate embossing including fantastic mythical dragons / chimeres. Fabulous for any Portieux milk glass connoisseur.

The center of the compote has some kind of brass fitting. Unsure of what is is used for.
