Lenses are checked for glass without of Scratches, Fungus, Haze, Cloud or Balsam separation, Focusing, Zooming and Aperture open and close smoothly. Any defective lens will be sent out to auction selling for parts and will not be here in the listing.

EX or excellent means that this item is between 90-99% of original condition

VG or very good: for item have some light scratches or dent from normal wear.

G or good:  indicating item with some scratches or dent from normal wear

F or fair: indicating item with many scratches or dent on the body.

Attached images are representative of the make and model you are buying but not necessary of the condition of the lens you are buying. Mechanically, they all work the same so the difference is just about the Items in FAIR rating may have more wear marks but nothing excessive.
