Beautiful floral pair of George Jones Crescent China bouillon soup cup and saucer set, hand decorated with what appears to be yellow wild roses around the saucer edges and bouillon cup sides. The set is finished with gilt trim on the handles and a soft sponge-type gilt application on the saucer and cup rims.

The saucers measure 5-1/2 inch in diameter, while the bouillon cups are approx. 2-1/4 inch high, with a tapered rim diameter of 2-3/4 inch (approx. 4-5/8 inch wide, handle to handle).

All pieces are in excellent condition, with no nicks, chips, or cracks, and only the most subtle crazing to the china.

Underside bears the British/English design registry number of 42306, which appears to date to early 1886, along with the Stoke Crescent China mark (appearing on only one cup), and blind pressed marks on the saucer.

You'll find other bouillon sets from this same design but featuring different flowers in separate listings.
