Record: Awful

So, here's the deal...this is one of my favorite all time Northern 45's. Both sides are lovely. I stumbled across this one in a batch of stuff we bought awhile back and I thought it was funny. It was so beat up, I wasn't entirely sure how the previous owner got it so trashed. There were gouges in the record that could not have been there unless you dragged it behind your car. Hilarious. But I played it because I had not heard it in a bit. The damn thing played through like a champ. Miraculous. I had an older brother who had a 78 RPM record of The Kingston Trio's classic folk hit 'Tom Dooley'. I hated that damn record. One day my parents bought me a Crossman BB gun and one of my first chores with the Crossman was to take that record outside, nail it to the fence, and blow it to bits. Very gratifying. That record may be the only record in worse condition than this one. I never had the urge to dance to 'Tom Dooley' but I still do to this one. Long Live Lou!!
