Vintage c.1962 Samsonite Original Classic Attaché 3" Commuter Briefcase, Brown with Key
  • An original Samsonite Classic Attaché from the 1962 to 1968 period, in brown (scotch briar) color, and with the key included (working locks and latches).  It is differentiated by the simple vinyl document holder in the lid (the Classic II - 1968 - has an improved document holder in the lid).  This model is the 3" Commuter (the middle thickness).  It was a revolutionary case, mid-century modern in design, and made from jet age materials (magnesium and PVC), making it extremely durable and light weight.
  • This case belonged to an Army Sargent and it travelled the world starting in the early 1960's.
  • It measures 18" wide x 12.75" deep x 3" high overall
  • This item is in very good condition with a couple of scuffs and a bit of oxidation to the metal parts from age and storage conditions.
  • To keep shipping costs to a minimum, we will wrap this item with commercial shipping stretch wrap and ship it unboxed.  If you would like to pay to have it boxed for shipment, please message us for a shipping quote.
