The Red Brandywine Tomato is a large beefsteak variety and is considered the best tasting tomato. The plant has leaves just like most other tomato plants and is not to be confused with the potato leaf of the Pink Brandywine. The fruit averages about 1 pound and grows over a long season. It is a great slicing tomato used in salads, sandwiches, and hamburgers. It is also great for canning.
