Thanks for looking and be sure to keep an eye out on my future driftwood salt water pieces. None of the Driftwood pieces I'm offering were removed from upright living or dead trees. They were detached and about to be claimed by tidal waters. This particular piece is from the root system of a Southern Pine Loblolly tree. Over the decades I have watched the rise of seawater which has been claiming these beautiful Southern Pines near the waters edge. This particular tree has been dead for about 20 years and is now shedding its pieces. This particular piece has been subject to thousands of tidal swings and shows wonderfully beautiful abrasion and weathering. There are also 3 barnacles attached, plus there is still quite a bit of sand hidden in all the nooks. This piece has not been cleaned in any way and you will be receiving it exactly how it was plucked from the sand and salt water, dried out of course. It will be packed very carefully in an oversized box but there may be signs of bark and small pieces that have fallen off in transit. This is quite a heavy piece! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
