This is my personal dress that I wore to my Junior Prom in Spring of 1978. Please see the second & third picture. My MIL cut my husband out of frame but isn't he cute?

Bought from Anthony's in Deadwood, SD. My dear mother didn't want me to have a dress exactly like any other girl, so she drove me to shop in Deadwood.

I laundered this dress in 1980 & it's been in a tote ever since. That is when I must have lost the label. As you can see in the old pictures, the lining & lace used to be lighter colored than it is now. Before taking pictures for this ad, I laundered the dress in soap for delicate fabric, made any necessary repairs on the ruffle, which was torn at the seam from catching my shoe in it on prom night. Oh, the memories! I also did a stitch around any fraying edges, as the gauze is beautiful & now perfect for you to wear. The only thing that caught my eye that may be something you will want to know is that in some places, the edges of the lace details have a pilling of sorts. Please see last picture for that. Also, when I had washed the dress, the luster from the glass buttons came off. Since the dress was missing one already, I replaced the buttons with vintage buttons made in Japan. If you purchase the dress, please let me know if you want 1 matching button & the other 4 original buttons.

For sizing, the bust measures 35 1/2", the waist is just under 30", hips 38". The length is 56" from shoulder seam to bottom of the dress. At the time that I wore this dress, I was 5' 4", weighed 130 pounds & wore a 32 D cup bra. If not sure if it will fit, you can find a size comparison if you do a vintage Gunne Sax dress search.

I won't be able to ship out the dress until May 9th. Thank you for considering this gorgeous & very well loved dress. Oh, to be young again. :) Ships from smoke free home.
