Video listed show the hand works without issues. You will not be able to used the current socket for yourself. Sockets are custom made you each specific person. You can salvage any parts from the socket, such as the batteries/power source for your personal needs. With that said you will still need a socket custom made for you. The current socket in the listing has a laminated wrist adapter that connects to the hand. This item will not be able to be salvage because it is laminated into the socket. You will need a new wrist adapter that can be laminated for you new socket. If you have a socket already made that is compatible with the hand then you simple just will have to connect your hand with your current socket. I would still check with your medical provider if your current socket/laminated wrist adapter will properly connect with purchased hand. Not all prosthetic hands use the same laminated wrist adapter. Do your homework before purchasing. When in doubt pay or get someone to help you. If you are not super knowledgeable in this subject you will save money in the long run in getting help/advise from someone who is.

This is a right hand. This is one of the more recent generations of the greifer hands. It comes with the charger, batteries internally in the socket. Check with prosthetist to help set up a socket specifically for you. He/she can used the batteries, and of course the hand. A new wrist couple unit compatible with the hand will have to be laminated into the new socket.

It comes with charger. This charger does not connect to the hand. The charger connects to touch bionics batteries that powers the hand. These batteries are built into a custom made socket. The hand is connected to the socket to provide power to the hand. So if you purchase this item the charger will not simple plug into the hand. This is not how this hand works. You will have to get a socket made with the correct laminated wrist adapter that connects to the hand or already have a previous made socket that is compatible with the hand.

I am not responsible for programming the hand. I do not advertise returns because people take advantage of that option and send me the item broken and misused. But with that said if you can convince me and show me there is a mechanical issue with the item I have no problem accepting an return. This will be rare, because the item has been tested and 100% confident that item has no defects and will work properly if set up correctly. Returns are only valid with mechanical issues. Returns are not accepted because you change your mind, or you can’t find someone to help you use this device, program the hand, don’t understand how to set up, or fabricate a socket with the correct laminated adapter wrist adapter.

I would recommend if you don’t already have a compatible socket that can be used with the hand to do your own due diligence and see if a prosthetist is willing to help you set this item up correctly, if applicable. It is your responsibility prior to purchase to have a game plan on how you are going to utilize the item. It is not recommended to buy the hand and then try to figure out how to get help. But again if you buy it, it’s yours only unless the item has some type of mechanical issue, which would have to be rare situation because the item will be mailed correctly without possible shipping damage.

International purchases will have to pay the high shipping cost. I will charge a flat rate fee of $300. The shipping cost will usually be more than this. I will cover the difference if it is more. If it is less I will refund you the difference. I will send you a copy of the receipt and tracking. The tracking number will be update to eBay. The shipping should get there fast. The reasoning in using UPS shipping Service Is to try to reduce customs complications, and they will do a better job than than the United state postal service.
