I bought this as to have a board that still has an IDE header on it. I did not use it much but found it needs a good power supply. The supply in this picture is a Platinum 750w EVGA. I am guessing 600-750w for this board. Some boards like to kept warm, you leave the power supply on all the time when not in use. You may want to get a set of matched ram sticks as this is a server board and the ones I have owned all act like they need certain components to stay working. This comes with mis-matched 2GB+1GB sticks so it will load the op system. You should not use a high power video card in this, I use Radeon 6770 HD in my servers, that are old like this one. Some board need to be loaded first with an IDE setup, and IDE hard drive, optical drive before you start running a SATA setup. This board should run XP 32 or 64 and all the way to windows 7 64 bit. You of course could run windows 10 on it but I would only run a 32 bit version in that. There are various server operating systems too. There is a row of pins near the SATA ports and the two on the end nearest the SATA port is the on/off switch. I got this new and did not run it all the time, I set it up and let it sit, it did not like that as I did not leave it plugged in. I like this board come with a VGA on board video  so you can run it with just that.
