This product is made as a joint partnership between Richard's auto electrical and Outback diesel tuning.
(Some photos are examples of these kits in other vehicles than what is listed for, this kit is sold as a direct plug in kit for the vehicle listed. All buttons are made to fit around the center console)

What does ECM/TCM stand for?

ECM = Electronic control module, which is a vehicle component responsible for your engine and transmission operation.  TCM = Transmission control module.

About our mods: 

This Australian designed module is made to work with your vehicle to safe-guard it from higher temperatures in transmission. It reduces your fuel usage keeping more money in your wallet and increases your over all fuel range so you visit the gas station less frequently on those long important drives.

It is recommended. We can provide you with a contact in your area for this service after your purchase. 


Legalities: 

This item is designed for: Reducing temperatures and wear on drivetrain  component which equates to lower fuel use and extended transmission fluid life. Unfortunately we do not warrant OEM components of the vehicle. We do however warrant the lock up kit components for up to 1 year from time of purchase.

What do I do if I get an error code?
 
Fault Code Reason Cause Can this code be cleared?  
P2757 torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid circuit. The vehicle has detected control of the torque converter switch is abnormal for the driving situation. Yes  
Switching speed error.  
P2759 abnormality in the torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid circuit The vehicle has detected control of the torque converter switch is abnormal for the driving situation. Yes  
Switching speed error.  
P0748 abnormality in the electronic pressure control solenoid circuit Usually from installation error or low transmission fluid. Yes  
 
         
 
If you have persistent error codes, we recommend you to mail in your ECM for a code off. You can install this product and clear error codes if they do come up (rare) using a scan gauge or by disconnecting 12v power from the vehicle for a short period of time. Statistically your chances of an error code are low.
 
 
Installation

  • We provide detailed instructions with the package. Some snippets are shown in the ebay product photos to give you an idea. Minimum tools are required. The approx installation time for an expert mechanic is 1 hour, but can take up to 3 hours for a first timer. Don't let that discourage you though! 
 
  • Minimum Tools required – Electrical tape, 10mm socket + extensions, screw drivers. (Recommended: Trim removal tools, full socket kit, electric drill/driver)
  • Installation Time - Approximately 30 mins for expert, 2 hours for a first-timer.
  • Difficulty – low (Some vehicle knowledge and mechanical knowledge is required)

OF COURSE, Your satisfaction is important to us! All returns must be made within 30 days after you receive your product. Local buyers are responsible for return postage. We stand by our products however if for any reason you have any problems with your mod do not hesitate to contact us first and we will do our best to help you sort it out. 
If you're not happy with your order, then we're not happy.


The Fitting of this kit is done so at your own risk. Richards Auto Electrical will not warrant any failures caused by modification to your vehicle. Warranty is offered on all components of the kit for 12 months from time of purchase.


Returns are only accepted on un-fitted kits.
