Beryl is a group of gemstones including Emerald (green), Aquamarine (blue), Morganite (pink), Goshenite (colourless) and Heliodor (golden Beryl). The name Beryl is derived from the Greek “beryllos”, which was used when referring to gems with a precious blue-green colour.
