Artwork oil on canvas depicting a subject taken from William Shakespeare's Macbeth, The prophecies of the witches, of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of large size, exceptional quality, with a subject that is difficult to find, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors. Artwork that presents, at the feet of the main character, a monogram on a rock (see photo) E. B. J. attributable to the famous English painter Edward Burne Jones (1833-1898), lacking authentication and additional documentation. Painting with a dark background, deliberately gloomy and theatrical, where the witches surround Macbeth and in the lower right corner a child holds a twig in his hands (referring to the third prophecy, see photo). Painting adorned with a 20th century carved, lacquered and gilded wooden frame deliberately treated to highlight signs of wear (see photo). Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in various points (see photo). Antico dipinto inglese della seconda metà del XIX secolo. Opera olio su tela raffigurante soggetto tratto dal Macbeth di William Shakespeare, Le profezie delle streghe, di ottima mano pittorica. Quadro di grande misura, eccezionale qualità, con soggetto di difficile reperibilità, per antiquari, arredatori e collezionisti. Opera che presenta, ai piedi del personaggio principale, un monogramma su una roccia (vedi foto) E. B. J. riferibile al celebre pittore inglese Edward Burne Jones (1833-1898), mancante di autentica e documentazione aggiuntiva. Quadro a fondo scuro, volutamente cupo e teatrale, dove le streghe circondano Macbeth e in basso a destra un fanciullo tiene tra le mani un ramoscello (in riferimento alla terza profezia, vedi foto). Dipinto adornato da cornice lignea del XX secolo scolpita, laccata e dorata volutamente trattata per evidenziare segni di usura (vedi foto). Quadro che ha subito un intervento di restauro conservativo, rintelo, sostituzione del telaio e ripresa del colore in diversi punti (vedi foto). Großformatiges Gemälde von außergewöhnlicher Qualität mit einem schwer zu findenden Motiv für Antiquitätenhändler, Innenarchitekten und Sammler. Bild, das zu Füßen der Hauptfigur ein Monogramm auf einem Felsen zeigt (siehe Foto) E. B. J., das dem berühmten englischen Maler Edward Burne Jones (1833-1898) zuzuschreiben ist, ohne Authentifizierung und ohne zusätzliche Dokumentation. Gemälde mit dunklem Hintergrund, bewusst düster und theatralisch, wobei die Hexen Macbeth umringen und in der unteren rechten Ecke ein Kind einen Zweig in den Händen hält (in Anspielung auf die dritte Prophezeiung, siehe Foto). Das Gemälde ist mit einem geschnitzten, lackierten und vergoldeten Holzrahmen aus dem 20. Jahrhundert verziert, der bewusst behandelt wurde, um Gebrauchsspuren hervorzuheben (siehe Foto). Gemälde, das einer konservativen Restaurierung, doubliert, Austausch des Rahmens und Farbwiederherstellung an verschiedenen Stellen unterzogen wurde (siehe Foto). Oeuvre qui présente, aux pieds du personnage principal, un monogramme sur un rocher (voir photo) E. B. J. attribuable au célèbre peintre anglais Edward Burne Jones (1833-1898), manquant d'authentification et de documentation complémentaire. Peinture à fond sombre, volontairement sombre et théâtrale, où les sorcières entourent Macbeth et dans le coin inférieur droit un enfant tient une brindille dans ses mains (faisant référence à la troisième prophétie, voir photo). Tableau orné d'un cadre en bois sculpté, laqué et doré du 20ème siècle volontairement traité pour mettre en valeur les signes d'usure (voir photo). Tableau ayant subi une restauration conservatrice, rentoilage, remplacement du cadre et reprise de couleur en divers points (voir photo).
