HISTORY.
The Jaguar XJS was introduced in 1975 as a more sophisticated replacement for the E-Type leaning more to being a Grand Tourer rather than a sports car. It stayed in production until 1996 with major updates in 1981 and 1991. It was available in two engine sizes the 3.6litre straight six cylinder and a 5.3litre V12 although both of these were uprated in 1991 to 4,0l and 6.0l respectively; The body was either a coupe, targa or convertible although there were a few conversions to a mini estate by specialist companies.
