Panoramic stereoview circa 1880's of the port city of Christiania showing ships in the harbor & lots of buildings. At the bottom of the right hand image is printed in the image: “Parorama of Christiana”. We believe that the stereoview maker has used an alternate spelling or misspelled “Christiania” which was the name of the capital of Norway from 1877 to 1925. The image appears to be that of a harbor scene in Christiania, now known as Oslo. The view is on a rounded corner curved buff mount. The mount measures 6 15/16 inches by 3 7/16 inches.

Edges & corners of mount show wear especially on the right end which has bumps & a few tiny nicks.
