Original circa 1870's stereoview showing a boy holding a painted tin circular music box. The music box is of a type that is likely either American or German in origin. There appears to be something attached to the top of the music box (perhaps something that moves when the music box handle is turned to play the music). But, we are not able to figure out what is attached. When the handle is turned around in a circle the music would play. This appealing stereoview is on a yellow mount with rounded corners as issued.

The mount measures 6 7/8 inches by 3 7/16 inches. There is minor wear & there are some minor bumps at the edges & there is minor soiling from age. An interesting & scarce subject for a stereoview. This view was originally found in Wisconsin. We do not know the photographer's name as there is no photographer's id. We believe that the view is probably American. But, there is also some chance that the view is German.
