This is an antique DESK ornament of a wood timber log with an axe in it and a double ended saw which is removeable.

Very good attention to detail on the item.

The log is sat in the cutting position on a X ended log cutting stool.

The sort of item that would have been PRESENTED to someone for many years service in the LOGGING or TIMBER MERCHANTS etc. Not sure really. It has not got a wooden base or any plaques on it so it would still now make a very good BESPOKE presentation item for yourself to someone else.

This thing is really heavy - it is iron since the ends are tarnished with slight rust stain. I have just put a magnet to it and found the AXE & SAW are not magnetic but the rest of it is magnetic.

No maker's marks etc.

Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition for yourself.
Normal signs of age and use wear I guess.

It measures approx. 7 inches long x 4 inches tall x 3 and 1/2 inches wide (excluding the saw). The saw is 5 inch long.

It weighs 2.15 kilos.. so HEAVY for its size.... will make a very good special presentation item for someone into working with axes and saws on timber.

My stock ref : #LVT/BCB June23 on presentation items shelf.

Most of my items are sent using the Global Shipping Program due to Royal Mail being really quite useless at actually delivering parcels worldwide for the last 9 months, which gave me and my customers a truly diabolical service of which I am still chasing up delayed post.

Global Shipping Program does not allow coins to be sent which is a little bizarre, is that because they do NOT trust their own delivery people to keep charge of the packages whilst on route ? So coins will be sent using Royal Mail.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter, or a universal Coke can, and we all know how big those are.

If you see A/F = a/f in the title or description it means "as found" condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage. In relation to all my listings it does not mean " about fine ". I have used A/F  for " as found " for 45 years.
