Please keep in mind that these pieces are vintage (to possibly antique). Being vintage, they have accumulated a small amount of age wear over time, especially around the edges where a frame used to sit. However, these should be easily covered by other frames.  Otherwise these are in very good (or better) condition. (Please see photos condition.)

Each piece measures 16 x 12". We had a couple of people look at these to help us provide information.  By their estimation these are anywhere from the late 19th century up to the 1940s, thus dating to or shortly after Qing Dynasty.  None of us here are able to read the characters but I was able to pull some from a Google image search.  Some of it appears to say either "Summer of the Year of Guihai" or "New Year Summer."  The painting on the left has characters that say "Zhang Qing," possibly referring to a fictional character, nicknamed "Featherless Arrow," in Water Margin, one of the four great classical novels in Chinese literature.

These are fantastic, highly collectible pieces that showcase fierce Ancient Chinese warriors. When paired together, they just about face as if battling each other. These not only bring forth a sense of both fantasy and history, but they are also just absolute awesome, beautiful, and powerful.

Due to the quality, size, technique, collectability, and aesthetic appeal, fair market value of this pair would likely run up to $400+.  However, we want it to find its way to your home for much less.
