This listing is for a charming wood mini holder featuring Norwegian Rosemaling. I think this holder is intended to carry a small box of matches though it could certainly be used for a number of other thingsThe rosemaling is done in lovely shades of pink, green, a buttery gold and white on a green background. Approximate dimensions are 2 1/2-inches in height x 2 1/4-inches in width with a depth of 1 1/4-inches.  If you look closely at the lower edge of the design, you'll see that the artist tucked in their initials - A.S. Please use the photos as your guide to gauge the style of painting.

 

As you can see in the photo, the combination of colors and attention to detail are nicely done and the piece is in previously owned excellent condition.  This would make a beautiful addition to a collection for someone who appreciates the beauty of Norwegian Rosemaling.
