1974 ~ Die Cast Army

Half Track & Howitzer

In Original Dime Store Rack Card

This military set was first made by Midgetoy in the mid 1950's.

They dusted off the tools in 1974 and made the Task Force. It consists of a die cast metal Army Half-Track, 4 ½ inches long, on rolling wheels. It has a trailer hitch, and hauls the short barreled Howitzer Battle Cannon, 3 inches long. Both are army olive drab. Made by Midgetoy, Rockford, Illinois, 1974. The set was a marketing flop. These were well-liked sets that sold well in the 1950's, but Military toys were not popular after the Vietnam War, consequently, not many of these sold or were made in the 1970's.

They come on their original dime store rack card and blister bubble. A Half Century Old! Everything is 100% intact! If you collect Army vehicles, or if you like military die cast, this is as good as it gets! Perfect ConditionWe pack it securely and send it First Class U.S. Postal.
