Original ink on paper by William Chenoweth of political cartoon dealing with the ending of Denver's former Stapleton International Airport.  

Chenoweth (1920-2008) was a noted Denver area artist.  A son of a long tern congressman, he also served in politics as a Colorado State Representative from 1955 to 1956 and as a state senator from 1961 to 1964.  Chenoweth studied in Washington, D.C. at the Corcoran School of Art.  During his art career, he was represented in galleries in Denver and Taos.  

Sight size of this wonderful drawing is 9 1/2 is 13 1/2.  Signed and dated '89 lower right.  Titled in pencil below the iage, "The Premature Autopsy or Forensic Boondoggery".  Comes in the original folder which is written, "Editorial Page R.M. News".  As a politician, Chenoweth was noted for being for the continuation of Stapleton and against the building of Denver International Airport
