These rigs are similar to a 1up 1 down rig but also incorporates a free running weight on the main rig body like a running ledger rig. Over the last two years this has became my goto rig for all species targeted and hasn't let me down. The rig has one hooklength sat on the ground and one off the ground , any fish that picks up the bait on the bottom hook will not feel any initial resistance and will be able to swim a short distance before being hooked , if a fish takes the top hook it will have instant connection. These rigs can be used from piers , beaches , rock marks and have even had success from boats . They can be used to catch cod , bass , whiting , rays , smoothounds , dogfish , bull huss , plaice , flounder and any other species. Main rig body is 80lb Asso Ultraflex . Hooklength is either 50lb/40lb Asso Ultraflex or 50lb Penn co-polymer. Hooklengths are both 35cm long connected 2 size#2 barrel swivels. Hooks can be chosen from the drop down box for whatever species you are targeting. Not many people sell these rigs as they contain a lot of components and are very time consuming to make.
