7" Tape- MAHLER Sym. No. 4 in G Major- Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam conducted by Bernard Haitink with Elly Ameling- Soprano.   This symphony is known as the "heavenly symphony" and is a charming poem describing a child's vision of heaven. The symphony was originally recorded in December 1968, but Phillips waited until 1973 to release # 802-888 LY.  I obtained the recording from WFMT-FM Chicago, IL because it had just been released by Phillips.

I recorded the symphony 1/4 track @ 71/2 IPS using a Marantz 2270 receiver w/ high gain FM antenna w/rotor, a Sony 850-1/4 track recorder, TEAC AN-180 Dolby B noice reduction unit and BASF Premium 1800' Tape.   Also included is an all plastic case that was designed and offered by BASF.  The case is 7 7/8" high x 7 1/2" deep x 1" wide.  There are two 1/8" diameter holes along the back edge of the case.  Shipped USPS Media Mail.
