This camera used to work when it was tested before I bought it. I had it on display for a couple of years with no batteries and just one lens on it. Now I wanted to used another film in this one while my other 7000 AF had monochrome film in it. Only when I put batteries in it I realized this camera refused to turn on.

I tested it with brand new batteries and even put the battery container in my other camera and vice versa

This 7000 AF refuses to turn on regardless of what battery holder you use.
The Battery holder of this 7000 AF is also non-funtional on the 7000 AF that actually works.

So its a paperweight that refuses to work. The battery holder is a bit rusted so it might need some work before using it as a replacement

Everyhing mechanical seems to be fine. including the prism mirror and winding system.

Its clearly a digital problem.

Who knows you might just get it to work by recapping the whole thing.
