[SPECIAL COLLECTION]* This 260 cc (+/- 10cc) Yixing clay teapot was handmade by Zhong Yi Guang, a well-known craftsman in Yixing China.

The teapot is made from aged Zi Ni clay that can only be mined in Huanglong Mountain Yixing and nowhere else in the world. Its unique and superior characteristics make it perfect for any kind of tea, especially black and aged Pu'er tea.

Yixing clay tea pot is a traditional Chinese art dating back to the 15^th century. The special clay contains iron, quartz and mica, and is found only in Yixing. It absorbs and retains the delicate flavors of tea. Therefore, a famous characteristic of Yixing teapots is their ability to absorb trace amounts of brewed tea flavors and minerals into the teapot with each brewing. Each Yixing teapot develops its own unique interior coating that enhances tea flavor and an elegant patina overtime.
