Our single channel studio grade VU meter driver PCB is back in stock again. These boards feature total balanced operation from TRS or XLR audio as well as the option to use with unbalanced audio simply by shorting the 3+1 Audio input pads.

The driver boards can operate classic VU meters or cheaper modern dc type vu meters. Internal rectifiers or not this board will work with any meter. 

The board features extremely high input impedance so it will not load your source audio or distort it whatsoever and is totally buffered. The output impedance of the driver is extremely low, and its sensitivity is very realistic and accurate.

Adjustments of the vu calibration are possible via the trim pots marked on the PCB. These boards feature a PEAK detector and indicator circuit that can be wired to your favorite LED to be driven to a desired and preset peak level via adjustable trim pots on the PCB.

The PCB has four #6-32 size stand-off holes for easy chassis mounting. PCB is extremely thick and high quality and all component values are visible on the silk screen of the PCB.

VU meter bulbs can be connected via the PCB, pads labeled LAMPS, and if any voltage drop is needed for the lamps from the main supply voltage can be achieved by the “LAMP R SET”.

The supply voltage can be from 12VDC-20VDC.
