Five iron & lead toy figures plus a diecast toy airplane. Included are the following items:
1. A miniature cast iron figure of a soldier. This example appears to have never been painted. This was made by Grey Iron Company of Mount Joy, Pa. He stands 1 3/4 inches tall & measures 3/4 inch across the base. He looks like he may possibly represent a WW1 type soldier. But, we are not certain of this point. This figure is listed under number (GH) as a member of Uncle Sam's defenders as a rifleman at attention on page 83 in the 1988 edition of the O'Brien soldier book.

2. Train Engineer listed on page 93 in the 1988 edition of the O'Brien soldier book. This is listed under T-6 in the Grey Iron Company section of the book. HOWEVER, interestingly, the example we are offering is NOT IRON as it does not attract a magnet. So, it must be made of lead or some similar type of diecast metal. Figure has a nice amount of its original paint. This figure is 2 inches tall.

3. Man (probably a jockey) riding a horse. This figure is cast iron. Under the horse is a ring which would have attached to something else which would have caused the horse to move in an up & down rocking motion. A considerable amount of the original mostly blue paint is still present. This figure is 1 3/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches tall. The horse, unfortunately, is missing its head. We have not been able to pin this to a specific maker. But, it may possibly be part of a rare cast iron penny toy.

4. A light tan cast iron miniature horse on platform. A considerable amount of the original paint is still present. The length is 1 11/16 inches & the height is 1 7/16 inches. We have not been able to pin this to a specific maker.

5. A diecast or lead figure with a bronzed finish of a jockey in sitting down in riding posture as if a horse should be under him. Apparently, that was the case when this was made as there is a broken stub of metal under him where he would have probably attached to a horse. We are not sure if this was a component of a toy. It is more likely that it was just a stationary jockey figure which was once sitting on a figure of a horse.

6. A diecast airplane probably of a WW2 type. But, we are not entirely certain. We feel relatively confident that the airplane is American. But, we do not know the maker. One prop of the propeller is broken off and missing.

The total weight of the five toy figures & the toy airplane is 6.4 ounces.
