This is the plant that people use to graft any eggplants (or tomatoes) on to create an eggplant tree that lasts for many years and produces many times more fruit than eggplants grown on their own root.  I have grafted Little Fingers eggplant (and harvested close to 40 fruit per graft)  and normal size purple black eggplant, and tomatoes on my plants.  Please google how to graft eggplants.  The devil plant itself is thorny and can grow into a large shrub or small tree.  The second photo shows the devil plant.  Very disease resistant, weedy/vigorous plant – use only as rootstock.  Do not let it fruit or escape into the wild in warmer areas.  Large plant will tolerate light frost.  The top leaves might get burned by frost but the plant recovers rapidly when warmer weather arrives.  Devil plant can be planted anytime of the year.  It is best to plant as early as possible so that you have a strong plant with strong root system to support heavy fruiting (personally I prefer to plant in autumn/winter as soon as the weather warms.  My Little Fingers eggplant grafts that overwinter are already producing flowers and small fruit in late winter here in Melbourne, Australia).  You should graft as early in the season as possible, preferably when eggplants are first available for sale.  Once grafted, the eggplant will last a few years.  I used to have a link here for grafting eggplant but Ebay has removed all external links.  So please google for it: 'deep green permaculture eggplant grafting'.

On offer are 20 seeds.  It is your responsibility to comply with your local quarantine requirements.  I offer combine postage but due to EBay’s fee structure, please wait for a combined postage invoice from me BEFORE making payment.  Lastly, I have been advised by Australia Post that overseas delivery can take up to around  a month because of delays, depending on the receiving country.  So please do not order if you are unable to wait.  Thank you.
