ProRacing® Chip Box PD-10 MAP is equipped with 10 MAP settings that can be selected using switches.
10 MAP are 10 different programs that allow you to select the optimum map for your car.
Each map has different torque characteristics, power level and combustion limit. Thus, we can find both sports settings with the highest operating parameters, for everyday use, as well as those with which we can achieve a reduction in fuel consumption.
Depending on our choice, we can ride more dynamically during shorter episodes in the city, or in a mixed cycle, or considerably more economically on long journeys.
The increase in power, torque and combustion loss depends primarily on the output power of the car, the engine capacity and the technical condition of the car.
ProRacing® Chip Box PD-10 MAP is extremely easy to use.
The MAP range allows you to adjust the settings to the needs and requirements of your engine.
We can choose from:
● Economic maps – map numbers 10 to 8, which ensure the lowest fuel consumption while improving driving dynamics and improving engine performance. Depending on engine displacement, the fuel consumption can be reduced by about 1.5 l/100 km.
● Universal maps – 7 to 4 maps are for everyday driving, and they increase the power and torque and improve the engine performance, which translates to a reduction of fuel consumption by about 1.0 l/100 km.
● Sports maps – 3 to 1 maps are designed for dynamic driving on shorter routes, extracting maximum power and torque from the engine.
We recommend that you start testing the device from economic programs (10-8) to more powerful programs, and by watching the occurring changes, select the optimal program.
The device is prepared for mounting in the engine compartment, to a suitable sensor on the fuel hose. As a result, we modify the data transmitted between the control computer (ECU) and the corresponding sensor, including fuel injection, fuel charge, turbocharger boost, air feed rate, engine speed, throttle position, injector opening time.

TYPICAL LOCATION OF THE SENSOR.
The chip is designed for mounting to the appropriate sensor in the engine compartment. It is always a two-pin fuel temperature sensor on the fuel hose. Below you can see examples of the location of the fuel temperature sensor. The examples include cars from the VAG group with engines on unit injectors. In the photographs and drawing below, the temperature sensor is marked with the letter [A].

● You receive the set device and then plug it into the right sensor in engine compartment. It is very easy. No mechanic or workshop visits!

QUICK INSTALLATION IN JUST 5 STEPS!
Step 1.
Make sure the car’s engine is not working and all electric elements are in an OFF position. The key in the ignition ought to be in an OFF position, no devices such as navigation, car radio, air- conditioning, internal lighting etc. ought to be working. If a car is not started with a key, the power ought to be cut off with a START/STOP button or by removing a card.
Step 2.
Remove the engine cover. Remove the yellow plug with the dipstick to check the oil level. Check that the engine cover is attached to the latches or bolted. The covers can be fastened with screws, so they should first be unscrewed. These screws are hidden under the plugs. However, most of the engine covers are fastened with latches. After removing the cover you will be able to locate the appropriate sensor.
Step 3.
Find and unplug the plug on indicated sensor located on the right side of the engine on the fuel hose. Carefully unplug the plug by first pressing it into the socket and then squeezing the clip. After releasing the latch, remove the plug.
Step 4.
Connect the female plug to a free sensor socket on the fuel hose. Notice there is a characteristic sound of click of a clasp while pinning. It guarantees certainty of connection.
Step 5.
Connect a male plugin with the female plug formerly unpinned from the sensor and then connect the cable with Chip Box PD. Attach the Chip Box in a safe place, away from the hot engine. After correct installation, you can start the engine and start driving.
