Our adapter cable has a 3.5mm male plug to your IC-705 "tuner" jack and a FEMALE 4 pin connector to mate with YOUR cable that is connected to YOUR ICOM AH4/3 tuner.

Do not allow YOUR heavier ICOM tuner cable to "hang" or pull on this cable!!
***READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW***
When the AH-4/3 is connected to the IC-705, both the AH-4/3 and IC-705 must be connected to the same power supply and grounded at the same internal GND terminal
1) Turn off power supply.
2) Connect both the AH-4 (or AH-3) (RED+, Black-) and the IC-705 to the same regulated power supply after turning it OFF. Connect the white 4 pin connector to your AH-4/3 cable and the 3.5mm plug to IC-705 tuner jack. Then turn ON the power supply to power ON the AH-4 first
3) Push the [POWER] key in the IC-705 to turn ON the IC-705. This sequence is important for the AH-4 (or AH-3) to be recognized by the IC-705.
4) Look at the IC-705 FUNCTION screen again to confirm that [TUNER] is no longer grayed out.
5) Touch and hold (on function screen) [TUNER] for one second to turn it ON.
5) When tuning is started, the [TUNE] icon blinks red in the upper-left corner of the IC-705 screen. When tuning is complete, the icon stops blinking and is lit up white.

Can you use the IC-705 to drive an amplifier (like the Xiegu XPA-125B) with the AH-4 and my adapter cable - YES. The AH-4, AH-3 are rated to 120 watts.
