Scott #122 SON Winnipeg, XF, rare bl of 4 with pair top straight edges, CV $15 each +
2,600,000 issued stamps divided by 400 stamps per panes = 104,000 panes with 18 such top straight edges stamps...but having a block of 4 !!!!!!
CV = ... +++ !!!
Straight
edge stamps or stamps with selvedge info…
...
imagine the number of strait edge stamps out of a printing pane (100) which
means only 8 out of ten for having a any side straight edge... (taking out the
2 corners). This means that such straight edge has only 8% out of each
pane...Indirectly, it brings an added Rarity Factor to the REAL value of
straight edge stamps...
Specific position on a pane…
We must acknowledge that on a pane of 100 stamps, corner stamp DO have an indirect higher value… because they are only 4 different and one for each corner of a pane !!!
NOW read this ...
Added rarity factor for
Admirals, the black lines (forth picture) show where the 400 stamps plate is cut to form
selvedge stamps and straight edge stamps. So. any same side straight edge stamp
has 16 possibilities out of 400 stamps printed or 4% And only ONE any
corner straight edge stamp (center of the axis) or 0.25% out of 400 printed
stamps… and that is an added rarity value over a single ordinary stamp of the
pane.
#122 have been issued at 2,600,000 stamps... divided by 400 stamps per pane and it gives us 6,500 outstanding panes of 400 stamps each...
NOW...because it is a UL corner stamp.... and there is only ONE UL corner stamp per pane.... means that there is ONLY 6,500 such UL outstanding (junction of the axis) .
How many are still there outstanding ??????
With these particular
infos...the CV of this stamp is not based upon the Unitrade #122 value... but on what it is hereby explained...
Make up your own deduction
and logic...and mind... and you will agree upon all where it is hereby
explained...
CV= $+++ but the UL corner stamp of a straight hedge pane is VERY RARE...only 6,500 potential stamps...
