George III Mahogany Serving Board


English, c.1800. Mahogany

Shaped top with crossbanding and ebony and satinwood stringing

Bow fronted form with central drawer to the body surmounted by two hinged cupboard doors. Each door with inlaid oval panel, satinwood stringing, quarter veneered surround and crossbanding to the border.

Carried on square tapered legs with spade feet

Measures 107 x 52.5 x 88 (height) cm

Offered in good condition. Lovely colour and patina to the whole. Horizontal non-structural splits to each side where the wood has opened up. A beautiful piece of period furniture removed from a house which has really treasured and looked after its pieces. Key to the door.
