Mark Wahlberg, born on June 5, 1971, is an American actor, producer, and former rapper. Raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, he began his career as a rapper under the name Marky Mark, achieving success with his group, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, and their hit single "Good Vibrations" in 1991. Transitioning to acting, Wahlberg starred in the 1997 film "Boogie Nights," which launched his Hollywood career.

Some of his notable films include "Three Kings" (1999), "The Perfect Storm" (2000), "Planet of the Apes" (2001), "The Italian Job" (2003), "The Departed" (2006), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, and "Lone Survivor" (2013). He also starred in the successful "Transformers" franchise (2014-2017) and the comedy "Ted" (2012).

Wahlberg co-founded the production company Closest to the Hole Productions, which produced the hit TV series "Entourage" (2004-2011) and "Boardwalk Empire" (2010-2014). As of now, Mark Wahlberg is still alive and active in the entertainment industry.
