Here we have a dear old vintage Steiff horse on wheels.

He measures approximately 65 cm long wheel to wheel, 67 cm high to the top of his head and 54 cm to the top of the saddle.

He is in medium condition, with old Steiff raised script button and faded label still  in his ear  - this model was made until 1966 .
He has mohair fur, glass eyes, leather saddle and reins, metal stirrups and pull cord  voice.

His fur is quite worn on his neck with a small bare patch there, also thin with worn patches on his back area.
His head is very slightly bowed and his mane very short, I think it was probably cut in the past. His tail is soft and shiny, but has been replaced at some point.
The reins are sound but quite worn, stirrups fine. The saddle is good with a small mark  but the felt surround and green blanket are very tatty and partly missing.
The base of his black feet up have had some repair with black tape but are firmly attached.
The wheels are quite marked and worn, but work well.

There is a metal pull cord on his neck which still works,  producing a very croaky sort of snorting, neighing noise.
It is hard and sharp to pull however and needs covering with something softer.
You can pull him along easily or a child can sit on him – age 2 to 5 in my experience.
He rolls along well and is very sturdy still.
He looks good to have around and children love him, hours of fun.
Only selling now because mine have grown up and we need the space.

Collection only from Faversham or delivery in East Kent.
