Among the items purchased from a doll crafter's estate was this lot of unused plastic eyes. There are gray/blue, green and brown eyes here. These look to be a mix of sizes as shown in the first photo (1/2". 5/8", 3/4" diameter)
I also have a group of 8 mm and 9 mm ones listed separately.
Some of the eyes have that white residue that older plastic gets. It wipes off with very little effort. It seems to have happened with the 3/4" green eyes more than with the others. Not sure why.
I'm guessing that some sort of plastic (or metal?) toothed locking washer was pushed over the stem from the inside to fasten the eye. The stems are about 1/4" long.
APPROXIMATE quantities:
- 5/8" green; 40-50
- 5/8" blue/gray; 40-50
- 1/2" brown; about 50
- 3/4" green; about 25
- 1/2" green; about 70-75
Should be between 225 and 250 pieces here.
I'll price these at about a dime each.
