Late 19th Century Vintage Decorative Painted Grey Distressed Mirror.

Sold to me at an antiques shop in Midhurst, Hampshire, UK, as an antique French mirror with original mirrored glass,  circa late 19th century.

I  paid £295, five years ago.

Overpainted in a grey egg shell paint; seems to be deep red paint underneath.

Looks like it is a pine backing fixed with antique nails.

Very heavy mirror.
