The 3D printer itself was received in a beaten-up state, and the printer initially powered up just fine... but eventually it stopped, and I could have sworn there was some "magic smoke". Since then the screen would not turn on, but there was some [board] fan activity.

In addition, the original SD card slot was broken off as part of the damage caused to the printer.

You might be able to salvage some parts from the card, if you so wish. I will also include a new, separately purchased SD card slot component, in case you want to try fitting it.
