This is a lot of two antique c.1890 cabinet card photos showing hunting scenes. Both cabinet cards are on the original mounts measuring about 6.5” x 4.25”.
One photo shows a hunting camp with two men holding shotguns at ready with a third man about to toss what might be a clay pigeon or glass target ball up in the air for the two men to shoot. The second photo shows the three men cleaning their guns and sitting below a frame made of tree branches that holds several pheasant, a deer and other game they taken hunting. This second photo has the name “H. Carleton” written in pencil on the back and “Bachelor Leisure?” written in ink on the left margin of the mount. The first photo of the men preparing to shoot has an illegible description written in the left margin of the mount. No photographer or location is indicated.
Both photos have a small nick off the corner of mount not affecting the image. The mounts show a bit of wear but both photo images are clear and in very good condition overall.
