Based on the TEAC CD-5010B, the CD-9010CF/CD-9010 is equipped with a tray-type drive that has been specially tuned. Based on long-term interviews with broadcast station operators, we have further tuned the highly durable CD-5010B drive. For the OPEN/CLOSE operation of the CD tray and the DISC LOADING from inserting the disc until it becomes ready to play, we investigated the waiting time allowed at the site and speeded up each operation. The unit of adjustment is actually 0.1 seconds, realizing both durability and operation speed that cannot be achieved with other drives. In addition, it is equipped with a manual eject lever so that it can be switched to a backup system even in an emergency such as a power cutoff. The disc can be ejected manually even when power is not supplied.
