This trade-sized pamphlet with cardstock covers and stapled binding tells the story of the Charles W. Morgan, the world's oldest surviving (non-wrecked) merchant vessel. Built in 1841, this American whaling ship was active during the 19th and early 20th centuries and was used to harvest the blubber of whales for whale oil, which was commonly used in lamps. The covers have some light bumping to the corners and some fading and toning in spots, but the text pages are clean and bright. The pamphlet includes 27 pages of information, B&W illustrations, and details about the ship's history and significance as a National Historic Landmark.
