This is from the archive of antiques which belonged to the well known York historian recently sold at Tennants auctioneers. Mr Darrell Buttery MBE 1941 - 2022. A teacher, writer, and historian. He wrote The Streets of York, Four Centuries of Change ( 2018 ) book. He collected many items including photograph albums and I am sure many of the photographs will never have been seen before.
