A GREAT Team-up from the Silver Age:   AQUAMAN & The ATOM !

BRAVE and the BOLD #73  CGC 9.4  OFF-WHITE to WHITE Pgs

Cover art by famed DC artist CARMINE INFANTINO

Script by Bob Haney 1st pairing of AQUAMAN & The ATOM (2 core JLA heroes) as they team-up in the title

story synopsis: Aquaman is somehow transported into a watery MICROSCOPIC environment, where only Ray Palmer has the skills and experience to rescue him..

  1. Cover art by famed DC artist CARMINE INFANTINO; #73 was the last after several nearly consecutive issues (#67-72) of rare Super-hero art covers done by INFANTINO in the Brave and the Bold series; having previously done NON-Superhero issues (#45-49, "Strange Sports"); issue #67, 69-73 were his major Super-hero Team-up artwork in Brave and the Bold.
  2. The script for Brave and the Bold #73 was written by another great DC creator, BOB HANEY
  3. The Brave and the Bold #73 is also noted as a "PROVENANCE" Collection (the "Dallas Stephens-Mile High.com collection")
  4. Br & Bold 73 was the 1st Series issue (since early 1966) that didn't have the bizarre and confusing "DC GO-GO Checks" cover format! It ended with issue #72 (we recently sold a copy of Brave and Bold #72, BTW!)

Pricing $$: Read detailed info in Gallery illustrations: not only to explain the "informal pedigree" items within this portfolio; detailed also is how we evaluate market pricing and scarcity --$$ Pricing Analysis:  detailed scarcity/census/sales info is illustrated: once you read the info in the listing and the picture gallery you will have a COMPLETE understanding of what is contained here, and its reasonable explanation for "A$K prices/values"!
  • SCARCITY Comments  few Other Hi Grade CGC copies of Br Bold 73 are available on the market! There have been few very high grade copies sold in recent sales history; even though dozens of graded copies exist for each issue, if you want a NM range book, you must wait for a current owner to Part with theirs! Well, there are 275 COMPETING CGC Registry sets for Brave and the Bold...so how long will you need to wait for a pair of copies, THIS NICE?
  • Our copies combined arguably comprise another "informal Industry Pedigree" as distinguished CGC issues ("from the Archives of industry Panelologist/Archivist "Crazy Ed Savitt")
  • Crazy Ed's BRAVE AND THE BOLD Registry set ranks among the "top ten" in the CGC Registry (currently, 6th Place out of 275 competing sets!)
reader copy for the CGC issue; another UNIQUE aspect of a "Crazy Ed private archive";  reader copy of Brave and the Bold #73!)
"PEDIGREES"  Basic background dataCGC REGISTRY Issues:
READ the "MAN CAVE INFO SUPPLEMENT" - illustrated guide to Pedigrees , Provenances and File Copies, based on CGC Pronouncements and "other discussions!"
    • "PEDIGREES" "A PROVENANCE" (?) basic distinctions:
        • In all likelihood, Crazy Ed's DC Collection meets every criteria as an industry recognized "Informal Pedigree/a.k.a. "a Major Provenance Collection." And several (MANY) of Ed's top rated/ or scarcer books are commonly sought after (bargained for) by other top rated CGC collectors...who KNOW ED wants his prized items to "have a good future home"...In fact, a notable CGC Registry collection proudly mentions when they acquired a CGC item from Ed for THEIR collection...and their 'item by item' registry records reflect a book as "having been a ('prior Crazy Ed' comic")...so the comparison is justified!

READ the "MAN CAVE INFO SUPPLEMENT" provided, which states OUR position/opinion on the characterization of certain Portfolios we offer as "Informal Pedigree" "Registry Acclaimed" or "Major Provenance" Collections!

        • Crazy Ed's Brave and the Bold CGC Registry set is entitled: {'better than the "meek and the fearful'...}      His set ranks 6th among several impressive "top 10" Registry sets for the Brave and the Bold title...and there are 275 competing sets.

        • Miscellaneous Collectibles sold by MAN CAVE and/or CRAZY ED's COMICS -- which includes any gallery or portfolio items, "bonus items", art items (or any comics, whether raw or NON-Certified) are not subject to a return or refund unless determined to be "inauthentic", "not as described", or "damaged in shipping beyond use"

We are BIG on customer service and want you to be happy you dealt with us: but these are reasonable "requirements" for our mutual safety and benefit! Thanks for being our customer!
