• This 14" bar and chain combo will upgrade your STIHL 017 or MS170 from .043 gauge to .050 gauge. Upgrading to this thicker .050 gauge bar will allow for a heavier duty, professional saw chain to be installed. If this bar will be replacing a .043 gauge bar, be sure to keep the old bar and/or chains separated. IMPORTANT: NEVER TRY TO OPERATE A .043 GAUGE SAW CHAIN ON A .050 GAUGE CHAINSAW GUIDE BAR!! Doing so could cause catastrophic damage to the bar and chain. The 3/8" pitch sprocket on your chainsaw will not need to be changed and will accept both .043 and .050 gauge chains.

• 14" Chain is compatible with OEM STIHL 63PM3-50 / 3636 005 0050. For detailed information about the saw chain, see the "Chain Information" picture.

• 14" Bar is compatible with OEM STIHL Bar: 3005 000 4809
